As you may be aware, Typhoon Odette/Rai ravaged the central region of the Philippines on December 16, 2021, causing immense devastation.

The impact of Typhoon Odette on the affected communities is undeniable. According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, the typhoon affected over 163,000 individuals, caused over $16 million worth of damage to infrastructure and agriculture, and claimed over 275 lives.

In addition, the education sector was severely impacted, with dozens of schools being damaged or destroyed. This has disrupted the education of thousands of children, further exacerbating the already dire situation in the area.

Given this reality, it is crucial that we come together to help the Filipinos in Bohol. By providing aid, supporting the education sector, and promoting disaster resilience, we can make a tangible difference in the lives of those affected by Typhoon Odette. This charity trip is an opportunity for us to make a meaningful impact and to show our solidarity with those in need.
